Patrick Manning

Patrick Manning is a PhD candidate in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. He received an MA in Literature and an MLS in Social Science and American Culture from Eastern Michigan University, and he received his BA from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, Patrick’s research investigates the aesthetics of the United States’ Rust Belt region and its expression of democratic hope at the intersection of local, regional and global politics. His critical and creative work has been published or is forthcoming in the Pennsylvania Literary Journal, DASH Literary Journal, Muzzle Magazine, The Journal of the Midwest Modern Language Association, and Western Pennsylvania Reflections.
