Journeys from Past to Present

The History Graduate Student Association (HGSA) at California State University, Fresno would like to announce the 12th Annual History Graduate Student Symposium, entitled "Journeys from Past to Present." The symposium will be held on April 24, 2010.

HGSA at Fresno State is now accepting papers from graduate students in any field of historical inquiry, especially those demonstrating innovative and/or interdisciplinary approaches, which relate to the sympsoium's theme of "Journeys from Past to Present." Students working in other disciplines throughout the Social Sciences and Humanities are also invited to submit essays.

Deadline: 15 March 2010

Please submit a 200-300 word proposal and a current curriculum vitae by March 15, 2010 to Melissa Morris atcheckedrussian@csufresno.edu. Upon acceptance of the abstract, completed papers should be submitted no later than April 5, 2010.

The 12th Annual History Graduate Student Symposium is sponsored by Associate Students, Inc., the College of Social Sciences, and the Department of History at California State University, Fresno.
