Curran Nault is a PhD candidate in Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on queer media, with special attention to media created by queer individuals marginalized by race, class, age, body type, sexual practice and/or gender identity. Currently, he is completing work on his dissertation, which explores the complex relationship between punk aesthetics/values and radical queer politics. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Boston University and a Master’s degree in Cinema Studies from San Francisco State University. His work will also appear in the Spring 2010 edition of the journal Velvet Light Trap.
